Balance. Over 75 million of restricted surplus destined for social, families and economic activities

Tasca: "Additional resources immediately available for sectors in difficulty." The Council implements the guidelines of the City Council for the allocation of funds

Milan, July 9 2021 – Over 29 million euros for the support of people in difficulty, 6,8 million for the family, 37,5 for economic activities and 1,6 million for job training. These are the funds that the Municipality will allocate to the various sectors affected by the economic crisis following the pandemic. Interventions for a total of 75,7 million euros, financed for over 40 million directly by the Municipality, also through the remainder of the Mutual Aid Fund, and the remaining part by contributions from the State.

"The Council – explains Budget Councilor Roberto Tasca – has implemented the political understanding expressed by the City Council for the distribution of the restricted budget surplus on some sectors most affected by the effects of the pandemic, thus completing a path of interventions begun in second half of 2020. This is not just a symbolic passage but an immediate and necessary help to the most difficult parts of our city, which confirms the Authority's ability to move effectively to solve the problems of citizens and businesses" .

In particular, of the 29,7 million earmarked for social purposes, 7,6 million will go to families in difficulty with minors, 3 million to residential care for minors, 500 thousand euros to strengthen home care, 300 thousand euros to the housing emergency for disabled people and 1,3 .4,4 million for interventions in favor of care givers. Furthermore, 7,2 million will be used for TARI concessions for families, 3,1 million for food poverty and XNUMX million euros for the taxi service for care givers.

6,8 million euros are allocated to the family, which will be spent to support school services.

While the 37,5 million for economic activities will largely be used for the 100% relief of the variable part of the TARI for businesses and a smaller part for the safe resumption of nightlife.
