Fixed the comparison on the calculation of the Meazza fare. Tasca: “Satisfaction with the end of an affair that dragged on for too many years”

Milan, September 25 2019 - The dispute between the Municipality and M-I Stadio over the Tari quotas for the period between 2007 and 2018 by the company that manages the Meazza Stadium on behalf of Milan and Inter has been closed. On the one hand, an updated measurement of the surfaces in relation to their intended use and, on the other, the adhesion of M-I Stadio to the relief on tax disputes contributed to resolving the issue of the dispute.

“There has been a long and delicate collaborative effort between the technical offices of the Municipality and the representatives of the Meazza managers for the measurements of the surfaces identified for the calculation of the waste tariff - states the budget councilor, Roberto Tasca -. We have finally reached the point of sharing the method which from now on will allow the M-i Stadio company to pay the Tari and the Municipality to collect it on the basis of a precise measurement of the surfaces".

The dispute over the Tari had been open since 2007: the M-I Stadio Company had paid amounts that the Municipality had always considered inappropriate and had consequently contested them. A legal dispute was born from this, which reached the second level of judgment in favor of the Municipality and which was resolved thanks to M-I Stadio's adherence to the 2018 legislation on the facilitation of tax disputes for which 24 thousand euros will be paid per year for the five-year period.

At the same time, M-I Stadio and the Municipality reached an agreement on the measurement for the period after 2013, which will also be valid in future years. Based on the agreement concluded, M-I Stadio will pay 190 thousand euros of Tari annually, simultaneously repaying the period from 2013 to 2018.
