After the "open shelves" in July, the reading rooms will also gradually reopen. The Bibliobus is also back in operation. Download record for Milano da Leggere

Milan, July 2 2020 – In addition to online booking services, collection of booked books and return on site, the Milan Library System has recently also reactivated the "open shelf", i.e. direct access to the collections on display, in order to allow readers to browse and choose books and multimedia without the forced mediation of the catalogue. By the end of this week there will be 16 libraries with this service active and the remaining neighborhood libraries will be added next week. During the month of July the reading rooms will also gradually reopen, to access which, based on current legislation, it will be necessary to book.

The method of booking appointments is now simpler thanks to the "Affluences" app, which can be freely downloaded and used in all locations, for registering appointments relating to services already active, and for those that will be activated in the near future . Also accessible via the web,”Influences” does not require any registration and in just a few steps allows you to choose the date and time to show up at the library.

The Bibliobus service has also been reactivated and has resumed service in the various neighborhoods of the city from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 12.30pm.
