Common goods. "Burlagiò" begins in the hidden garden of Cascina Martesana

The project promotes the active participation of under 30s in the Turro, Gorla and Nolo neighborhoods through the tool of collaboration agreements

Milan, May 14 2019 – Free the civic energies of young people who live and live between Turro, Gorla and Nolo and begin with them a path of shared care of common goods. With this spirit, the Burlagiò project is inaugurated today at the Giardino Nascosto in Cascina Martesana, curated by BiPart, the Tempo per l'infanzia social cooperative and the Ecologia Turismo Cultura association with the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation.

The project aims to promote social cohesion and the activation of boys and girls between 14 and 30 years old through the instrument of collaboration agreements. The path will lead young citizens to develop a collective reflection together with the community, identifying strengths and needs of the territory and subsequently developing sustainable proposals to improve its liveability.

Through a website and a mobile application, a process of mapping and activation of the territory will be developed, stimulating the entire citizenry to propose interventions and places of interest.

The result of this participation process will lead to the creation of an intervention on the public space identified through a collaboration agreement stipulated with the Municipality of Milan, which will follow all phases of the project.

Thus the commitment of the municipal administration continues in all the neighborhoods of the city, from the center to the most peripheral areas, through bottom-up involvement and listening initiatives, thanks to constant collaboration with associations, bodies and entities active in the area.

The results of the participation process will be displayed in an exhibition to be held inside the El Bagnin de Gorla exhibition gallery in Cascina Martesana.
