The ordinance establishing the rules for carrying out performances safely has been signed

Milan, June 24 2020 - Starting from June 24th it will again be possible to book stations for street art through the "Stradarte" platform. With an ordinance downloadable at this link signed on 23 June 2020 by the Mayor Giuseppe Sala, in fact, the rules and criteria to be observed for the exercise of street artistic expressions and crafts have been identified, in compliance with conditions suitable for the protection of health in the management of the Covid-19 emergency. XNUMX.

The Municipality of Milan asked the Lombardy Region for an opinion to verify that the so-called 'street art' could fall into the category of shows which had been allowed to resume from 15 June. On Friday 19 June, the Lombardy Region confirmed this interpretation.

The Mayor's ordinance provides, among other things, that artists must organize their performance spaces in order to avoid gatherings and ensure that the distance between the public and at least two meters between the public and the performer is maintained. In the case of a group performance it will be necessary to maintain a distance of at least one meter between the artists who will have to use suitable personal protective equipment when the performance is not in progress. Props must be handled using gloves and costumes must be individual and not shared before being sanitized. 

“The Municipality – declares the councilor for Youth Policies Laura Galimberti – has worked hard in recent weeks to ensure a gradual but necessary resumption of city activities, applying the necessary safety measures. We are therefore very happy to be able to reopen, as promised, bookings on the Stradarte platform, thus allowing artists to return to perform in the streets which have remained empty and silent for too long. This is a goal achieved at the end of a journey shared with category representatives and other institutions to guarantee the performance of performances in complete safety."
