Milan, July 8 2020 - It is called "Reopening Notes" because it celebrates the resumption of activities, the small but precious concert organized by the Milan Women's Center (CMD) of Municipality 8, in via Consolini, Gallaratese district. Tomorrow, Thursday 9 July, from 18 pm, maestro Danilo Rossi, first viola of La Scala, will perform in the small square outside the center with pieces ranging from Bach's cello suites to Oblivion, by Astor Piazzolla.

“The initiative - explains Daria Colombo, Delegate for equal gender opportunities - is part of the 'Aria di cultura' program, which accompanies the Milanese summer with live, outdoor shows. We are grateful to maestro Rossi who gives us this moment, allowing us to bring art and beauty even to places far from the center."

The Milan Women's Center reopens its doors tomorrow, but it has never left the women of the neighborhood alone, not even during the confinement. “In all these months - says Vania Cuppari, head of the CMD - we have always remained in telephone contact to convey needs within the Municipality's largest network. We worked to ensure that families had the necessary support, for example for shopping, or by donating refurbished laptops to children for distance learning. Through the concert we want to thank the women in particular for the commitment with which they faced the difficulties and supported their families".
