Area P. Domenica "Gardens in the West and other poems"

At 10am in the Council Room meeting with the poetry of Enrico De Lea – Brochures

Milan, February 8 2023 – Sunday 12 February, at 10 am in the Council Room a Palazzo Marino, "Area P. Milano meets poetry" is back.

Title of the next appointment "Gardens in the West and other poems", by Enrico De Lea, poet of Sicilian origins. In the preface to his latest work, which gives the title to Sunday's meeting, Diego Conticello writes: "Enrico's quatrains trigger epic scenographies always built by means of an agglomeration of iconic material and - if you use the term - in a certain traditional measure, imbued - to use a word dear to the author - with mythographies, anthropologies, hagiographies and geographies suspended in a Byzantine and almost ascetic language (and perhaps at times even manneristic), all aimed at revealing scenes with Ariosto-like features, pouring them onto reader the complexity, while at the same time poorly concealing a soul of resentful and liberating wonder that flows from the marks of an orality handed down through the ages (In chorus they repeat the lost octaves / over the centuries)".

Free admission subject to availability.
