Area B: exemption for Euro 5 diesel vehicles

Milan, 19 December 2022 – On the website of the Municipality of Milan it is now possible to request an exemption for entry into Area B for all those who, in possession of a Euro 5 diesel vehicle, have signed, or will sign by 31 March 2023, a purchase contract, leasing or long-term rental.

In this way the Euro 5 vehicle in their possession will be able to continue to circulate until the arrival of the new car (in any case no later than 30 September 2023).

Both Milanese citizens and non-residents can apply for an exemption.

This measure accompanying the traffic ban in Area B for owners of Euro 5 diesel passenger transport vehicles is also valid for owners of Euro 5 diesel taxis and NCCs, holders of municipal operating licences, who can request an exemption at the same address.
