Administrative elections 2021. Free transport to the polling stations for disabled people is active 

Citizens suffering from serious illnesses have until September 13th to request a home vote  

Milan, September 12 2021 – On the occasion of the administrative elections on Sunday 3 and Monday 4 October, the municipal administration will provide a free service for the transport of disabled people resident and domiciled in Milan.  

To access the service it is necessary to have a disability certificate issued by the ATS to be shown, together with an identity document, to the driver of the public car who will take care of the transport to the voting center and the accompaniment to the home.  

For citizens suffering from very serious illnesses or in conditions of continuous and vital dependence on electro-medical equipment, home voting will be guaranteed, to be requested by 13 September.

Meanwhile, the collection of spontaneous applications from adult citizens and residents of Milan for the position of polling station presidents and scrutineers continues. Until October 1st, by filling out a specific guided form, the Administration will acquire voluntary applications and will summon interested parties if necessary. For Presidents, the compensation foreseen for each voting round amounts to 187 euros (90 euros for special seats), while secretaries and scrutineers will be paid a compensation of 145 euros (61 euros for special seats).
