Environment. Milan participates in M'illumino di meno by planting trees in Parco Galli

Milan, March 4 2020 - From this morning at Galli Park (Town Hall 4) fifteen new poplar trees make the area greener and more beautiful for everyone. The planting carried out by Miami scarl is Milan's contribution to M'Illumino di meno, the Day of energy saving and sustainable lifestyles launched by Caterpillar and Radio 2 in 2005.

The 2020 edition, which returns on Friday 6 March, is dedicated to increasing the trees, plants and greenery around us. Milan thus accepted the appeal addressed to municipalities, schools, companies, associations and private individuals.

The 15 new specimens at Parco Galli are part of the broader planting plan which by the end of the agronomic season will bring over 20.000 new trees to the city and 100.000 to the metropolitan area. Last week alone, almost 3.000 new specimens were planted by Miami SCARL in the city, in addition to those planted by private individuals, organizations and parks.

A piece of the Forestami urban forestation project of the Municipality together with the Metropolitan City and the Polytechnic which intends to bring 3 million trees on a metropolitan scale by 2030.
