Snow warning. Precipitation expected from Friday 13 December
Milan, 12 December 2019 - A weather alert for the risk of snow affecting the Milan basin has been issued by the functional natural risk monitoring center of the Lombardy Region. For this reason, the Municipality has activated the Municipal Operations Center (COC) at the Civil Protection operations center starting from midnight today, to monitor the weather situation and rainfall in the city.
The COC will update on weather conditions to coordinate the necessary interventions in case of snowfall or frost. Amsa with the salt spreaders and ATM are pre-warned and ready to take action to prevent traffic problems on roads, public transport routes and subway stops.
The Municipality invites citizens to choose public transport for tomorrow's travels. In case of snow and frost, condominium administrators and shops facing the street are asked to spread salt on the pavements. Please remember that clearing snow in the areas in front of private buildings is the responsibility of the owners of the properties themselves. The public offices of the Municipality and the nursery and primary schools were also pre-warned.
