Weather alert. Seveso has returned to normal limits, traffic has been restored

Milan, June 22 2019 - The Seveso returns to normal limits, after the two floods this morning. All the previously interrupted roads have been restored, while Amsa vehicles are still in service to finish cleaning the streets.

The intervention in the Negrotto underpass is also nearing completion, thanks to the work of Civil Protection and Amsa, while all the other underpasses have already been reopened.

The levels of the Lambro are slowly falling but remain high, if necessary the evacuation plan for the community - made up of around 80 people - within the Lambro Park will be activated.

At the moment a strong disturbance is crossing the provinces of Pavia and Piacenza, while a slight disturbance is recorded north of the province of Como. The regional alert will end tomorrow morning at 6.

To manage the emergency and restore ordinary conditions, 19 Amsa vehicles were used for cleaning, over 30 Local Police patrols for traffic management, 2 MM teams for water interventions and 19 units of the Milan Civil Protection and Metropolitan City. ATM was also involved, promptly intervening to divert the surface lines affected by the bad weather and protect the stations of lines 3 and 5 of the metro.
