Linate Air Show. Directions for traffic and safety

Milan, October 11 2019 – On the occasion of the Air Show at Linate, for which an influx of around 150 thousand people is expected between Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October, with shows and events over the two days, the local police will be busy with over 500 officers to facilitate the traffic and safe access to the Linate area, and with around 40 agents for the prevention and combating of illegal commercial activity with personnel from the Anti-Illegal Trafficking Unit and the Commercial Ration Unit.
Added to these are a hundred agents for the Deejay Ten which will take place on Sunday 13 October.

Viale Forlanini, towards Linate, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7am on Saturday 12 October until the complete exit of participants, expected around 3am on Monday 14 October. Only pedestrians will be allowed access, obviously excluding a lane reserved for emergency vehicles. The terminal part of via Fantoli will also be reserved exclusively for pedestrians participating in the event.

In addition to what was present for the Jova Beach Party, two other pedestrian accesses have been provided: one again on viale Forlanini and one in the southern area, in via Baracca in the Peschiera Borromeo area.

The Linate exits of the Eastern ring road will be closed and the vehicular traffic expected from the city center towards the ring roads will be diverted towards Piazza Ovidio, via Mecenate up to via Fantoli.

To reach the Linate car parks, we recommend using the roads along the Paullese and Rivoltana state roads, passing through neighboring municipalities, even for those coming from Milan. Following the traffic limitation measures, access to the parking area will be possible from the SP14 Rivoltana axis, reachable from the Eastern ring road from the Segrate or Rubattino exits, or via the SP103 Cassanese. The parking area can also be accessed using the SP415 Paullese, reaching the SP14 Rivoltana via the SP15Bis of Peschiera Borromeo.

It will also be possible to reach the parking area from Via Corelli, which will be regulated in a unidirectional manner depending on traffic needs and according to the indications of the Traffic Police to guarantee full functionality of the area. But that route is not recommended because it is very narrow and on the occasion of the Jova Beach Party it was the one with the most critical issues.
The changes to the road system include one-way traffic towards the city center along provincial road 15b.

Parking spaces for motorbikes and bicycles have also been provided in via Alfonso Gatto and in via Mecenate in the Fantoli area, while the taxi area has been provided in via Kolbe.
