Abusiveness. Local police service at Vasco Rossi concerts: 52 people reported for counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods

Milan, June 14 2019 – The Anti-illegality Unit of the local police of Milan, during the activity to combat counterfeiting at the San Siro Stadium on the occasion of Vasco Rossi's concerts, reported 52 people for the crimes of counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods.
 
The local police officers, on duty during all six concerts at the Meazza which attracted a total of hundreds of thousands of people, had the task of monitoring the activity of the vendors to identify those who were operating illegally, selling counterfeit goods in the area of the stadium.

Located mainly in Piazzale Axum and Via Achille Fetonte, the illegal sellers have used a new method to stock up on goods and avoid having a large quantity of items near them. In fact, they used cars parked near the stadium as a warehouse, shared by several people. A technique to prevent a large number of items from being seized when the local police intervened.

At the end of the activity, the Local Police reported 52 people for counterfeiting and receiving stolen goods and criminally seized 2.466 counterfeit items, including t-shirts, hats, scarves and bracelets attributable to the image of the artist or the musical event.
