June 2. The program of celebrations for Republic Day

Milan, 1 June 2022 – Below is the program of celebrations scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday 2 June, the 76th anniversary of the Italian Republic Day.

In Piazza Duomo, at 10 am, the flag raising ceremony will take place in the presence of the civil and military authorities.

Palazzo Marino it will be open to the public with free (with the possibility of audio guides available at the entrance) and guided visits.

At 11 am, there will be a reading of the Italian Constitution in the Courtyard of Honor, by the citizens and volunteer citizens of the Milan Pact for the reading to remember and share the fundamental principles underlying the Republic. In collaboration with the Milan Library System.

Two concerts:

  • at 16 pm, concert by the local police band in the courtyard of honor with original songs and transcriptions of classical and contemporary music directed by maestro Giorgio Poli;
  • at 18 pm, concert by the Civic wind orchestra in the Cortile d'onore with music by Rossini, Ponchielli and Verdi conducted by maestro Luca Valenti.
