Palazzina Liberty in streaming: 12 concerti gratuiti online

Milan, 14 April 2021 – Da sabato 17 aprile a giovedì 13 maggio, Milano Classica in collaborazione con il Comune di Milano riaccende le luci di Palazzina Liberty dando vita ad un programma di dodici concerti in streaming che coinvolge piccole ma importanti realtà musicali. Una rassegna che conferma l’auditorium quale centro musicale milanese attivo, inclusivo e in continuo divenire, nonostante le difficoltà del settore musicale causate dalla pandemia. 
 
Palazzina Liberty will therefore be accessible to the public via streaming on www.yesmilano.it/palazzinainstreaming for all scheduled appointments.  
 
The Milano Classica Chamber Orchestra opens (and closes) the show with two programs (Saturday 17 April and Thursday 13 May at 18:30) which highlight the virtuoso characteristics of its strings.

Also organized by Milano Classica, a special crossover evening with the saxophonist Jacopo Taddei and the pianist Giuseppe Blanco will go online on Saturday 8 May at 18:30, which takes up the Crossover fridays project, supported by SIAE | For those who create and suspended due to of the pandemic: a format that has allowed young artists to perform together with big names in the genre and which combines classical music with modern contaminations.

The Maestro Raro Association will propose, on Thursday 22 April at 18:30, a special "Beethoven Cello Project", bringing together five important Italian cello and piano duos who, led by Enrico Dindo and Monica Cattarossi, will give life to the complete Piano Sonatas and cello by Ludwig van Beethoven. The project, born in 2020 on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the genius from Bonn and postponed due to the health emergency, sees the presence of some illustrious students of Maestro Dindo at the Pavia cello Academy: Andrea Favalessa (first cello of I Pomeriggi musicians and president of the Maestro Raro Association) in duo with Maria Semeraro, Amedeo Cicchese (principal cello of the Teatro Regio of Turin) with Barbara Panzarella, Luca Magariello (principal cello of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana) with the pianist Cecilia Novarino, Jacopo Di Tonno (first cello of the Soloists of Pavia) with Bruna Pulini.

The Liederìadi Association, also in partnership with the G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan, will give life to three appointments entitled "Italian Operas" (Tuesday 20 April, Tuesday 27 April and Tuesday 4 May, all at 19 pm) as part of the XV edition of the Liederìadi Festival, the most important Italian concert season dedicated to lieder and vocal chamber music curated by the tenor Mirko Guadagnini; while the Manifestare Opportunity Association, by offering concerts by the Linz Quartet and the Placard Wind Quintet (Thursday 29 April and Thursday 6 May at 18 pm), will continue with its mission of promoting young talents as it has already done for several years in the context of the Young&Family Season of Milano Classica. 
 
"Palazzina Liberty in streaming" sarà anche l’occasione per celebrare due importanti anniversari. Sabato 1° maggio alle 18:30 Le cameriste ambrosiane, ensemble in residence di Milano Classica dal 2013, propongono il concerto/spettacolo “Leggende di periferia”, nel quale l’attore Dario Merlini darà voce a Jorge Luis Borges. Ad accompagnarlo il tango di Astor Piazzolla, di cui ricorre il centenario della nascita. 
 
On the other hand, the tribute to the centenary of Camille Saint-Saëns' death will be organized by the Music Development Association: a collective of prestigious Turin musicians will interpret various works by the French composer, from the Romanza op. 36 to the Danse macabre, up to the arias from Samson et Dalila and the Carnevale degli animali, proposed in an original version for two pianos and string quintet for the first time.
