Every evening, from 18pm to 19pm, a spectacular videomapping will be projected on the Filarete Tower and will be visible from the Courtyard of Arms

Milan, 12 December 2019 – From tomorrow, Friday 13 December, and until 6 January 2020, every day from 18pm to 19pm, a spectacular and large mapping, projected on the Torre del Filarete and visible from the Courtyard of Arms, will evocatively tell the story of the extraordinary celebration which sealed the wedding between Gian Galeazzo Sforza, nephew of Ludovico il Moro, and Isabella of Aragon more than 500 years ago at the Sforzesco Castle.

On the occasion of this wedding, on behalf of the duke, Leonardo da Vinci invented the first theatrical stage machine, called "La festa del Paradiso". And so, on the Filarete Tower, every evening, that party will come back to life with images and sounds, suggestions and atmospheres, to tell both that extraordinary day 500 years ago and the story of two men as different and as complex as Leonardo and Ludovico.

A special way to conclude the year dedicated to the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, whose celebrations will continue at the Sforzesco Castle also next year with the extension of the extraordinary reopening of the Sala delle Asse until 19 April 2020 and with new refined dossier exhibitions .

The exhibition “Around Leonardo. Graphic works from the Milanese collections", currently set up in the Sala dei Ducali, will be open to visitors until 5 January 2020, but two other exhibitions are scheduled until 19 April 2020: "Leonardo's atelier and the Salvator Mundi" from 24 January (also in the Sala dei Ducali) and “A writing in the mirror. The secrets of Leonardo's "sinister hand" (in the Treasure Room) from 31 January 2020.

Intesa San Paolo and Scalo Milano outlet & more are partners of “Lights and sounds in the courtyard of weapons”, conceived and directed by Roberto Malfatto and produced by Triumphgroup.
