Rabaiotti: "We are strengthening a valuable direction of work that sees the Administration of a large city willing and able to get closer to its inhabitants" 
 
Milan, August 9 2020 - Partono domani mattina le attività ludiche, ricreative, sportive ed educative dedicate a bambini e ragazzi tra i 6 e i 14 anni nei cortili delle case popolari della città.  
It is the "widespread summer centre", part of the #estatepopolare programme, which for the first time moves and is activated directly where people live, bringing the summer offer to the neighborhoods and public houses in all the municipalities apart from the 1, both municipally owned and managed by MM and Aler, and filling the common spaces with new aggregation proposals.  
 
Coordinating the initiatives of the project conceived by the Administration, in this first phase in August which will continue for two weeks until the 21st of the month, is the Fom (Foundation of Milanese Orators), with which an agreement is already active with the Municipality, together with the Csi, Italian sports center. FC Internazionale will also participate in the #estatepopolare project, on some selected dates and places, with coaches from the Youth Sector and Inter Campus.  
 
The activities in the courtyards, in small groups in compliance with health regulations and coordinated by educators and entertainers, will take place every day, from Monday to Friday, in the morning from 9,30 to 13.  
  
The opportunity to participate will be free and open to the entire neighborhood and also supported by local social services, by operators already active in the courtyards, such as social custodians, neighborhood laboratories, QuBi' networks, MM and Aler staff. All children who wish can take part, without having to register.

Lo sport, i laboratori di animazione, il sostegno per i compiti e il gioco entrano nei cortili delle case popolari, vicino a chi ha più bisogno, nello spazio abitato e vissuto dalle famiglie e dai più piccoli. Questa è un’estate che cerca di essere nuova e diversa per chi è rimasto in città, ma potrebbe anche rappresentare un’idea da sviluppare nei prossimi anni, rinforzando una direzione preziosa di lavoro che vede l’Amministrazione comunale di una grande città desiderosa e capace di farsi vicina”.

In September the offer will be even richer, with the active participation of many associations and organizations from the Third Sector which, again together with the Fom and again with the involvement of FC Internazionale for some places and dates, will bring the number of courtyards involved to 26 and will also allow us to double the timetable of the activities, which will in fact be held both in the morning (from 9,30am to 13pm) and in the afternoon (from 14,30pm to 17pm), always from Monday to Friday. We will leave on August 31st for another two weeks, in order to accompany the children at the start of the new school year.
