Rabaiotti: “In August 300 kids were involved. Two more weeks with an enhanced program” 

Milan, August 30 2020 - The courtyards increase, the hours of activity double: on Monday morning, 31 August, recreational, recreational, sporting, educational and study support activities dedicated to children and young people between 6 and 14 years old start again in the courtyards of the city's public housing projects , to which are also added four courtyards of association offices. It is the "widespread summer centre", part of the #estatepopolare programme, which resumes strengthened after having animated ten courtyards in the first half of August, with the participation of over 300 young people.  

“The first half went very well - says the councilor for social and housing policies Gabriele Rabaiotti -. Even in Gratosoglio, where we encountered some difficulties at the beginning, the animation ended up catching on. We hope that this second half, which we have strengthened, will also be appreciated by the greatest number of girls and boys. Heartfelt thanks go to all the animators and educators who, with passion and competence, managed to rekindle the popular courtyards in this very particular summer".  

Now another two weeks are opening, until September 11th, which will bring the summer offer to the neighborhoods and public houses in all the Municipalities apart from the 1st, both municipally owned and managed by MM and by Aler, in order to accompany children and young people at the start of the new school year. The activities will be held from Monday to Friday, in many courtyards both in the morning (approximately from 9,30am to 13pm) and in the afternoon (from 14,30pm to 18pm). Participation is free for everyone and no prior registration is required.  

Coordinating the initiatives of the project conceived by the Administration is the Fom (Foundation of Milanese speakers), with which an agreement is already active with the Municipality, together with the Csi, Italian Sports Center, and the managing bodies of the Municipality's domiciliary area . FC Internazionale will also participate in the #estatepopolare project, on some selected dates and places, with coaches from the Youth Sector and Inter Campus. 

This is the list of open courtyards: via Aldo Tarabella 4, Civitavecchia 102, Angelo Inganni 67 - via Val Bavona 2, Teramo 31, De Andrè 11/12, Sabatino Lopez 4, Adolfo Consolini 4, largo Boccioni 10, Val di Nievole 1 , Senigallia 60, Antonino Giuffrè 8, Ucelli di Nemi-via Serrati (gardens), Etruschi 1, San Dionigi, Saponaro 32, Montegani/via Barrili, via Palmieri (Quattro Corti), Sant'Erlembaldo 2, Civitavecchia 102, Fleming 19 ( Pastonchi corner), Alex Visconti 12, Fa' di Bruno 5.

In addition to these courtyards, which are all located in public housing blocks, there are four other addresses where the cooperatives participating in the initiative are located: via Zante 36 (Cascina Monlue'), the outdoor space in via Cenni, via Dalmine 6 and via Mantegazza 10.
