Del Corno: “Over 10 sold out events, more than 10 thousand spectators, quality shows for all ages, tastes and artistic aptitudes have already made the Sforza Estate the richest and most popular event in the city”

Milan, 1 August 2020 – Summer of Sforzesca begins in August with the show “Great music for great films”, a concert by the City of Milan Plectrum Orchestra, which will offer 35 more evenings until the end of the festival on 4 September.

Among these the evening of August 15th, as always with free entry but, given the rules on the containment of coronavirus infection, with mandatory reservation via mailticket or nominal registration in the evening until seats are available. In line with the title of this season of Sforza Summer, "A stage for Milan", the evening of August XNUMXth will be a "Milanesada" dedicated to the world and history of Milanese song, theater and cabaret, thanks to the participation of artists such as Enrico Beruschi, Roberto Brivio, Alberto Patrucco, Grazie Maria Raimondi, David Riondino and Franco Visentin.

“Over 10 sold out events, more than 10 thousand spectators, quality shows for all ages, tastes and artistic aptitudes have already made the Sforza Estate the richest and most popular event in the city – declares the Councilor for Culture Filippo Del Corno –. A commitment that lasts for 80 consecutive evenings, promoted and coordinated by the Administration to offer throughout this season, which is particularly delicate from a health, social and economic point of view, an outdoor stage that not only enriches the artistic offer of the summer Milanese, but also ensured the possibility of starting again for many workers in the artistic and cultural sector, so seriously damaged by the health emergency and limited by the restrictive rules in closed places".

After the concert dedicated to the great film music on August 1st, the program for the first week of the month includes, on Sunday 2nd, the theater show “Little Boy: Incredible and true story of the atomic bomb” with Roberto Mercadini, curated by via Audio; Monday 3 “Dita di dama”, a show with Laura Pozone which is part of the cultural program “The talents of women”; Tuesday 4th the concert-show tribute to Fabrizio De Andrè “There was a yellow sign with black writing” organized by the Sanpapié cultural association; Wednesday 5 “Come together: Monday orchestra plays The Beatles”, concert by the big band directed by Luca Missiti in homage to the Fab Four; Thursday 6 “Electroclassic summer night” edited by Ottava nota; Friday 7 “The classic rock concert: The pax side of the moon vs. The Ambrosian chambermaids” curated by Milano Classica; Saturday 8th the concert organized by Milano Classica, “Davide Locatelli plays 88 shades of... rock!”, which explores the history of rock from the end of the '50s to the mid-'90s through the piano; finally, on Sunday 9th the "Zelig live show - Summer edition" will be staged, a show organized by Zelig media company.
