Agreement for the protection of the Lambro river
The Lambro Observatory, with the signed agreement, aims to:
- deepen knowledge and collect documentation on cultural, scientific and technical characteristics, on historical evolution, on traditions, on current trends in the local landscape, collaborating with other subjects and institutions that operate in the field.
- share and disseminate documents and information in order to directly involve citizens of local communities, encouraging informed and conscious participation in determining choices.
- carry out awareness-raising and training activities on local landscape issues, in particular involving the schools of the area concerned.
- constitute a cultural, scientific, documentary and organizational point of reference in the area, with its own initiatives on landscape issues and participating in those of others.
In the Municipality of Milan, the operational area of the Lambro Observatory covers the valley of the Vettabbia canal up to the Chiaravalle Abbey and the stretch of the Lambro between Cascina Gobba and Ponte Lambro.
