Garden of Cultures
The "Garden of Cultures", located in via Morosini, is an area of 1.250 square meters which from a disused and degraded urban fragment - devoid of functionality for the neighborhood and abandoned for many years - has returned to being a public space intended for cultural activities and recreational.
The Municipality, after the agreement for the urban recovery and regeneration presented by some local associations, which thanks to private contributions took steps to redevelop and make the area accessible, in 2019 signed a collaboration agreement with various local entities, established to the opportunity in a single association.
The collaboration agreement provided for the activation of the garden with cultural and recreational activities, the protection of the places, the facilitation of the participation of all citizens in order to create a welcoming and inclusive neighborhood community. Furthermore, the association takes care of the maintenance of the greenery and cleaning.
New agreement for the Garden of Cultures
The collaboration agreement renews the citizens' commitment to keeping the public space of the Garden of Cultures alive, through care, supervision, ordinary maintenance and cleaning of the existing green area.
The 22 March Neighborhood Committee, signatory of the new agreement, is responsible for expanding the network of active subjects who will participate in the care of the garden, through the promotion of the pact, in order to create a neighborhood community that is as open as possible.
The new agreement, signed in May 2022, will be valid for three years.
