Via Casasco - De Nora
A new identity for via Casasco
This is the heart of the project to redevelop Via Casasco, a road that remained closed and unused for a long time, born from the meeting of different realities and needs of the Ortica district of Milan and carried out thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by Industrie De Nora, the association We Are Urban Milan, the Ortica Memoria association.
The participatory process was supported by Municipality 3, which responded to the local need to redevelop the street and transform it into a significant place for the neighborhood and promoted a process of collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Purpose of the collaboration agreement
Regenerate a piece of the city, creating a new colorful and usable public space, which will be maintained and animated thanks to the signatories.
The project is completed by a mural along the perimeter walls of the Industrie De Nora company, created by OrMe, Ortica Memoria.
The new "street-square" was named after the engineer Oronzio De Nora, founder of Industrie De Nora which overlooks via Casasco, thanks to the proposal, favorably received by the municipal administration, of the same company, which contributed with a strong involvement directed, to the improvement project of the neighborhood that historically hosts it.
