  • In some cases, the issuing of the certificate is subject to a hygienic-sanitary assessment of the property

  1. Check on the Geoportal that the accommodation for which you request eligibility is located in the territory of this Municipality
  2. prepares forms and documents in PDF format (the application must bear the handwritten signature)
  3. write to the office indicated below attaching all the documentation or to make an appointment and deliver it to the counter.

What and who is housing suitability for?

The certificate of suitability for housing is essential for non-EU citizens to obtain:

  • the residence contract for subordinate work, including regularization of domestic workers and carers (L.102/2009)
  • the EC residence permit for long-term residents - formerly a residence card - possibly also extended to family members
  • entry for self-employment
  • the reunification of family members, if they are abroad
  • the entry of accompanying family members
  • family cohesion, when family members are already in Italy.

 

Cases in which it is necessary to verify the health and hygiene requirements

The assessment of health and hygiene requirements is envisaged in the case of:

  • family reunification
  • accommodation with a cadastral surface area less than the minimum allowed of m28.80. XNUMX
  • family cohesion
  • entry of accompanying family members
  • EC residence permit for long-term residents.

The assessment consists of an inspection which the applicant can choose between two methods:

  • agreement with the College of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors of the Province of Milan
  • qualified professional, appointed directly by the person requesting the certification.
