The family room - Listening and orientation desk

Go5 - hand in hand with women, a voluntary association that aims to help cancer patients and their families, proposes, with the collaboration of Municipality 1, a new free support service when a tumor diagnosis "enters at home", changing, and often destabilizing, the lives not only of those who are ill but also of those close to them.
It is a listening and orientation desk where the family, the couple, or the individual members of the family unit, have the opportunity to have one or more interviews with a specially trained psychologist so as to be able to 'buffer' the emergency situation.

“The family room” does not aim to offer psychotherapy, but rather initial help in managing the illness event and answering the questions we often ask ourselves.

The aims of the meetings are:

• accompany in dealing with personal or relational hardships and difficulties
• give support in finding tools to deal with oncological diagnoses
• provide orientation, if necessary, towards any psychotherapeutic paths

The service includes 1 to 3 interviews, based on the professional's assessment.

The meetings will take place on Wednesdays from 15.00pm to 18.00pm by appointment at the CAM in Garibaldi.

The entrances are in Corso Garibaldi 27 or in via Strehler 2 - Milan. (MM line 2 stop Lanza or Moscova or Tram 2-12-14 stop via Cusani)
