Public lighting in Piazzale Bande Nere
The main construction site to upgrade public lighting in Piazzale Bande Nere begins.
After the removal of the light tower on the via Anguissola side, the spotlights typical of the green areas along the pedestrian paths will be installed in these weeks. This will allow more punctual and diffused lighting on paved surfaces.
The intervention, requested by Municipality 6 with Council Resolution n°10/2022, was necessary as the light from the light tower no longer passed through the thick foliage of the trees.
This is the second intervention to upgrade public lighting for Piazzale Bande Nere: the first, carried out in 2021, affected the Via San Gimignano side.
Future developments will affect the last two parts, in particular the Redaelli side which, of the two remaining, is the least illuminated.
