Urban gardens
Urban gardens are plots of land that can be cultivated for non-commercial purposes and granted to private citizens on a temporary basis. They are portions of equipped greenery that encourage aggregation, encourage constructive use of free time and contribute to redeveloping abandoned or degraded urban areas.
Applications for the assignment of land to be used as vegetable gardens for non-commercial purposes must be submitted to your municipality of residence.
Each Municipality defines the assignment criteria and methods of use of the plots in full autonomy, through the issuing of its own regulations.
General requirements include:
- residence in the Municipality of Milan
- age of majority
- possession of the requirements established by the municipal regulation.
The concession involves the payment of an annual fee and the payment of a flat rate for the use of water.
The assignment occurs through the publication of specific public notices.
