Institutional portal - Municipality of Milan

Given the great response obtained from the first traveling literary review, organized by Municipality 2 with the aim of valorising books and reading while also creating the opportunity to delve into themes linked to the municipal territory, this second edition entitled "Stories" is proposed. organized by the social promotion association Potlatch.

The event will take place in significant places in Municipality 2 for the promotion of books and literature. The proposed Stories are designed for all age groups, and each event will see the presence of authors, artists and guests who will involve the public in their narratives.

These are the scheduled events:

• Saturday 12 November at 18pm - Potlatch association headquarters, via Padova 00

Presentation of the comics collection Degenerate Matter 3, which tells the restless biography of a great art and design personality, immortalized as he struggles against his demons against the backdrop of the vivid, full and vibrant Milan of the Sixties and Seventies.
The authors will be present;

• Thursday 17 November at 18pm - Circolo Cerizza, via Meucci 30

Open Microphone of Tempi diVersi and presentation of the editorial series Fulmicotone by AgenziaX. During the evening, the poets of Tempi diVersi will take turns at the microphone, a collective of young poets who work to make poetry and make it come alive, bring it to the streets where everyone can enjoy it, read it, give it space and give it attention; 

• Tuesday 22 November 18pm - Former small church in the Trotter park, via Mosso 30

Presentation of the digital magazine, free and single issue Emergence, which collects reports, portraits, interviews, illustrations, photos, insights and a glossary on the phenomenon of serious exploitation, created by fourteen girls and boys between 18 and 25 years old, led by the journalist Giuliano Battiston. Some members of the editorial team and the coordinators of the Codici Ricerche and CheFare project will be present;

• Monday 28 November at 17 pm - Cortili Solidali condominium library, via Palmanova 00

Presentation of the book by Andrea Minetto and Chiara Giudici Martesana district, along the artery of change. More voices write notes and sensations on the Martesana. A cultural worker, who has returned to live nearby, and a teacher, who recently lives in the area, collect them. A book as precious as the Naviglio you talk about. The authors Andrea Minetto and Chiara Giudici will be present;

• Sunday 4 December at 18pm - Cascina Turro, piazzale Governo Provisionio 00

Presentation of Sara Parziani's book Novel of an anamnesis, told by the author through monologues and video projections: a transcription of the theater show Anamnesi staged by Sara Parziani. It is the precise and deliberately sparse story of a non-compliant body, of a motor difficulty seen from the eyes of a little girl.

• Tuesday 6 December at 17pm - Zazà bookshop, viale Evaristo Stefini 00

Workshop for children and snack with Claudia Mendini author of It takes time, the story of evolution told by a stone. The story begins with a blank page. Not nothingness, but a void full of light, and in this light suddenly a pebble is born, a tiny spectator of evolution, which tells the story of the Earth, from the birth of the first organisms to the present day;

• Wednesday 14 December at 18pm - Villa Pallavicini, via Meucci 30

Syrian violinist concert Alaa Arsheed accompanied by the voice and poems of Anti Gone on the topic of reception and migrants. Members of the Muslim community will be present from the House of Muslim Culture in via Padova 144. 

The events will take place in compliance with current anti-covid regulations.
