Making a place, a carpet in via Padova
Milan, 29 May 2023 - Halfway between a game and a meeting between urban planners, the workshop ViaPadovaViva odv has the aim of promoting a collective weaving of a large carpet that will represent Via Padova, the historic street of Milan where great urban transformations are taking place, to stitch together the many different realities of the city.
With the tufting technique, a large tapestry will thus be created which will provide a possible mapping of Via Padova: on a long sheet, after a brief introduction to the technique, anyone will be able to draw and sew, according to their own personal interpretation and perception of the street.
The event, organized as part of the Milan Arch Week 2023 and with the patronage of Municipality 2, will take place on 3 and 4 June 2023 from 10:00 to 18:00, at Yamlab Tufting Studio in via Padova 9.
Free and open participation for adults and children (aged 9 and over).
