Crescenzago 1923-2023. From the medieval village to the Riviera of villas

Milan, February 13 2023 - On the occasion of the centenary of the aggregation in Milan of the municipalities of Affori, Niguarda, Greco, Gorla-Precotto, Baggio, Musocco, Trenno, Vigentino, Chiaravalle M.se, Crescenzago and Lambrate, which took place in 1923, the Carlo Perini Foundation initiates a process of strengthening the identity of the suburbs to enhance the memory of the main places of historical, cultural and artistic importance of the city of Milan.

18 Saturday and Sunday, February 19 2023 guided tours will be held by Emanuele Rodriquez, which will take us on a journey into historical memory to get to know Crescenzago, on an itinerary that will cross the medieval village up to its riviera made up of eighteenth-century villas.

Meeting at the M2 Crescenzago stop, and then: 

  • The ancient history of via Palmanova
  • Crossing the Medieval Village
  • Visit to Casa Berra
  • The Abbey of Santa Maria Rossa
  • Piazza Costantino with Villa Lecchi and the ancient Town Hall
  • The Crescenzago coast with its villas
