Certificates in the library

Milan, 1 October 2023 - From today it is also possible to obtain fourteen types of certificates in the library, from residence to family status. 

On an experimental basis, a computer station is made available in a local library of each municipality through which citizens can independently, with their SPID or CIE credentials, access the website of the national registry of the resident population ( ANPR), download and print registry and civil status certificates with or without stamp duty, for yourself or for a member of your family unit. 

There is also the possibility of being supported from a technical/IT point of view by digital facilitators, i.e. one or more library representatives, specially trained by the Civic Services Directorate, with the aim of increasing autonomy in the use of public telematic services. administration, their accessibility and encouraging the digital literacy of citizens. 

The stations are accessible for the entire opening hours of the library to the public, while the days and periods of access to the service in assisted mode are different based on the locations. The first libraries to be involved in this project are:

  • Town Hall 1 - Sempione Park, viale Cervantes (Montetordo area) - assisted mode on the days: Tuesday-Thursday, 11am-30pm; Wednesday-Friday, 13pm-30pm   
  • Town Hall 2 - Crescenzago, viale Don Orione 19 - assisted mode from Tuesday to Friday, 12:00-15:00   
  • Town Hall 3 - Valvassori Peroni, via Valvassori Peroni 56 - assisted mode on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 12:00-15:00 
  • Town Hall 4 - Calvairate, piazzale Martini 16 - assisted mode on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00-14:00   
  • Town Hall 5 - Red Church, via San Domenico Savio 3 - assisted mode from Thursday to Saturday, 13pm-00pm   
  • Town Hall 6 - Sant'Ambrogio, via San Paolino 18 (upon completion of the works currently affecting the headquarters) - assisted mode on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00-14:00; Wednesday and Friday, 14pm-00pm   
  • Town Hall 7 - Harar, via Albenga 2 - assisted mode on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00-10:00; Wednesday and Friday, 14pm-00pm   
  • Town Hall 8 - Gallaratese, via Quarenghi 21 - assisted mode from Monday to Wednesday, 14pm-30pm; Saturday, 15am-30pm   
  • Town Hall 9 - Niguarda, via Passerini 5 - assisted mode on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 12:00-15:00

After the first experimental phase in the nine aforementioned locations, we will enter the second, between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, which provides for a possible extension, based on the results of the experiment, to a further nine libraries in the system, to reach eighteen in total. The objective is to extend this service to all twenty-four libraries of the Municipality of Milan.   

The collaboration between the Libraries system and the Registries will also develop at the same time with the identification of some days which will see the setting up, within the registry offices, of small library stations (biblio-point) in which the library services will be presented and books and audiovisuals will be selected based on the themes of the individual events.
The anniversaries already identified are: World Book and Copyright Day (23 April), Children's and Adolescents' Rights Week 
(22-28 May), European Day of Languages ​​(26 September), International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November).
