Treasure hunt along the tracks

Milan, October 05 2022 - The appointment with the Treasure Hunt of the “NEAR-NEwly ARrived in a common home” project is on Friday 14 October from 16 pm to 00 pm, and is aimed at girls and boys aged 18 to 00 (young people, new inhabitants and Italian and international university students) to (re)discover the Central Station/Martesana district of Milan and meet many new people from all over the world. 

The treasure hunt, which will start from the Vi.Pre.Go. Gardens, Villa Filzi park, via Sant'Erlembaldo (MM1 Gorla), will end at 18pm inside the Trotter Park.

The event, organized under the patronage of Municipality 2 of Milan, was born as part of “NEAR-NEwly ARrived in a common home”, the innovative European project which aims to encourage the integration path of newly arrived migrants (adults and minors) during their settlement in the host countries in four European cities (Milan and Perugia in Italy, Lisbon in Portugal, Nicosia in Cyprus). 

The treasure hunt aims to introduce new arrivals, including foreign students, to that area of ​​Milan which extends along the tracks of the Central Station up to the Martesana canal, which has always been a place of exchange, with a strong symbolic for many of those arriving in the city for the first time. 

Participants in the hunt will discover that, among the city streets, a priceless urban and human heritage is hidden, rich in stories, emotions, memories, a true treasure of the city.

Participants will be given the treasure hunt kit, including a bag, map of the neighborhood and some gadgets.  
To play it is essential to bring a smartphone with you. The fastest and most creative team will be rewarded.
