Concerts by tribute bands, exhibitions, screenings, quizzes, presentations and meetings with collectors, music personalities and authors of books on the Beatles, readings and theatrical shows relating to the Beatles: all this in the event organized by Municipality 2 on the occasion of the 60th ° from the publication of the band's first 45 rpm single "Love me do" released on 5 October 1962, which marks the beginning of their "official" career.

The initiative has free entry, in compliance with the anti-contagion provisions in force, and is organized by the cultural association Bardha Mimòs ets in collaboration with Beatlesiani d'Italia Associati, as part of the Milan Music Week 2022.

The Beatles have fans all over the world, and thousands of rallies are organized in their honor every year.
The most important is the Beatles Week organized in Liverpool, their hometown, which brings together thousands of people for a whole week
in the historic venues frequented by the band.
In Italy, the most historic gathering is Beatles Day organized in Brescia for more than 25 years by the Beatlesiani d'Italia Associati, the largest fan club.
In Milan, where the Beatles landed in June 1965 for one of their three Italian concerts, some impromptu events dedicated to the Beatles have been organized over time, but never a real Beatles Day.

Various activities will take place over the course of a whole day:

  • cover band concert - the heart of every Beatles Day, made up of professionals and non-professionals, to recreate the magic of those sounds;
  • exhibition of Beatles rarities, photos and objects - the exhibition focuses above all on the connection between the Beatles and Italy. with newspapers of the time that talked about the Beatles, records in Italian editions, rarities released in Italy and sought after by collectors all over the world;
  • presentations/meetings with collectors, music personalities, authors of books on the Beatles;
  • film or video projection: continuous projection, in the exhibition room, of video clips, concerts, interviews; in another room, screening of little-known films with a Beatles theme, such as "Two of Us" which reconstructs the meeting between John Lennon and Paul McCartney in 1976 in New York;
  • themed theatrical shows, to tell a moment in the history of the Beatles and/or retrace the genesis of one of their albums in the form of scenic narration.

Special guest: Pattie Boyd, first wife of George Harrison.
