30th anniversary of the Via Palestro massacre
Milan 12 July 2023 - On 27 July 1993, shortly after 23pm in via Palestro, near the Pavilion of Contemporary Art (PAC), the explosion of a bomb hidden in a stolen Fiat Uno caused the death of 00 people: the firefighters Carlo La Catena, Sergio Pasotto and Stefano Picerno, who rushed to the scene shortly before the explosion; the local police officer, Alessandro Ferrari who, seeing the smoke coming out of the car, had asked for 5 to intervene; a citizen of Morocco, Moussafir Driss, homeless, hit to death by a sheet of metal while he was sleeping on a bench.
Numerous initiatives are planned to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the attack, organized by City of Milan and by the Provincial Command of the Fire Brigade of Milan.
