The podcast comes out today, June 11th - The footballers of 1933 - edited byMilan is memory'.

Federica Seneghini, journalist for Corriere della Sera and author of the book "Young girls. The footballers who challenged the Duce"And Marco Giani, historian, teacher and member of the Italian Society of Sport History, who edited the essay contained in the publication; they tell the story of the first women's football team in Italy made up of thirteen formidable girls determined to challenge the fascist regime in order to play football. The readings are edited by Mariapia Lampis e Claudio Lezzi.

The team was disbanded after the historic and last match, on 11 June 1933, but they remained in the history of Milan and Italy.

A year ago, the Municipality of Milan, on the anniversary of the famous match, named a street inside the Sempione Park after the 1933 footballers, behind the Civic Arena and placed a totem to remember its history.
