  • ➑️ The announcement of the Liberation from the twenty years of fascism and the war started from a building on the southern outskirts of Milan, where in 1945 there were only a few factories and many cultivated fields. The EIAR (the RAI at the time) had, in fact, moved its broadcasting studios there after the bombing of Corso Sempione and on 26 April, from the antennas in via Antonini 50, the notes of the Mameli anthem were played, the announcement of the Liberation and, a few days later, the news of Mussolini's shooting.

  • ➑️ Centrale del Latte was founded in 1930 to solve a public health problem, given that poor hygienic conditions made milk a vehicle for diseases. Its activity continued after the Second World War, when the idea of ​​milk as a common good, to be made available to all, was developed. The industrial idea behind the Centrale is a winning one and, in fact, at least three generations of "Milanese" have identified with its products.

  • ➑️ The protagonist of this story is the Cucina per Mati Poveri - which was based in via Anfiteatro 16, then a popular area - by Alessandrina Ravizza, known as "the countess of broth". She wasn't a real countess, but she really distributed the broth: it was the tool with which she tried to cure sick people who couldn't afford medicines.
