The palace

The palace

Palazzo Morando Attendolo Bolognini is a residence with a clear eighteenth-century imprint located in the heart of Milan. Built towards the end of the sixteenth century, the building over the centuries was inhabited by important noble families until 1903, when it became the home of Countess Lydia Caprara di Montalba and her husband Gian Giacomo Morando Attendolo Bolognini. Upon the death of the countess, in 1945, the palace together with the furnishings that were part of it were donated by bequest to the Municipality of Milan which, in line with the noblewoman's wishes, undertook to make it a museum.
