The NO BORDER season, curated by Compagnia Carnevale at Spazio Teatro 89, continues the11 January 2024 with the show A Huge Hole - Pantelleria 1943, written by Alessandra Costa and directed by Antonio Carnevale. On stage Antonio Carnevale, Elena D'Agnolo, Pierpaolo Guerinoni, Sergio Paladino, Vlad Scolari and Riccardo Stincone.
The show, after debuting in Pantelleria in July, returns to the stage in Milan in a site-specific version.

> Between May and June 1943, over 20.000 bombs were dropped on the island of Pantelleria, in the Strait of Sicily, practically one for every inhabitant, including soldiers and civilians. The island was forced to surrender before a single soldier had set foot on it and became a "laboratory" for testing the offensive capabilities of the Anglo-American air force. The evaluation was entrusted to a special group of scientists directed by Solly Zuckerman who, through a meticulous mathematical-statistical analysis, brought into focus a fundamental concept: the "area of vulnerability". The figure of Zuckerman is an example of the often unconscious ambiguities that characterize the work of scientists in wartime.
Very few witnesses of those events remain today. In the summer of 2022 the author collected the voices of some of them, at the time children or teenagers under the bombs. Un Buco Enorme - Pantelleria 1943 was born around their story.
> Compagnia Carnevale was born in Milan in 2016. Among its productions are Arlecchino transformed by love, Remember me, who am Pia, Il Bradipo e la Carpa, Mirandolina, For a sip of tea after a piece of bread, Work mobilizes the man. The company collaborates with various cultural institutions in Italy and abroad and since 2022 has had the pavilion as its operational headquarters in the Baggio district of Milan

The NO BORDER season is made up of ten events from October to April by artists and companies from all over Italy, who bring new dramaturgy to the stage, never presented in their definitive form in Milan.
