The NO BORDER season, curated by Compagnia Carnevale at Spazio Teatro 89, continues on March 21, 2024 at 20.30 pm with THE DECEPTION, a show by and with Alessandro Gallo on stage for the first time in Milan on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Commitment in memory of the innocent victims of the mafia

Based on a true story, Alessandro Gallo continues his path towards the narration of criminal education. Starting from his experience, he draws, with irony, anger and pain, the faces of a mother-courage Naples that clashes, on a daily basis, against the claustrophobic weight of a familism that transforms the beauty of the bonds of solidarity between families into silenced behaviour, silences and glances. with mafia overtones.
A biography that is knotted between two dimensions in which the protagonist is forced to move sparingly: the narrative dimension that relies on the democratic exercise of denunciation against the mafias and a dreamlike dimension of contact and clash with a small pack of bodies that they will want to prevent the narration itself.

“Alessandro Gallo di Caracò Teatro in “L'inganno” instead talks to us about the mafia starting from his experience, and trying to enter the bowels of his Naples, a city that clashes daily with a reality always pervaded by mafia undertones”. Mario Bianchi, KLP

> Alessandro Gallo was born in Naples in 1986. He is a writer, actor and theater director. He lives in Bologna and has been working for years in the field of legality education with civil theater projects. In 2014 he received the Silver Medal for Civil Valor Carlo La Catena Award for editorial activity and for theater of civil commitment. In 2016 he received the Carlino d'Oro from QN Il Resto del Carlino for his educational activities to combat the mafias and, among others, he published the novel Era tua padre (2019, Rizzoli), recounting the criminal geography that links North and Southern Italy.
