From North to South Italy, an open call to collect the best business ideas

From North to South Italy, an open call to collect the best business ideas

The Proximity Welfare project is activated to create a Network of Proximity Hubs dedicated to young people
20 regions, 20 events in which hundreds of young entrepreneurial and territorial animation ideas compete on some of the 17 objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: defeating poverty, quality education, gender equality, businesses, innovation and infrastructure, reducing inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, peace, justice and solid institutions.
These will be the themes around which the One Day Hackathon will revolve, online events dedicated to the development of innovative and sustainable design ideas implemented by the new generations. Already in September the first events of a format, that of the One Day Hackathon, which within the Proximity Welfare project has the objective of building a Network of Proximity Hubs throughout the national territory, i.e. places designed to enhance the social commitment of the new generations and their protagonism.
A choral voice, a red thread that binds all of Italy to the idea that there is no future without a real investment in the new generations.
The Proximity Welfare project is promoted by the Èbbene Foundation, the United World College of the Adriatic and the San Gennaro Foundation which in Catania, Duino and Naples are already implementing study, planning and innovation to launch the first three Proximity Hubs in the coming weeks .
The Proximity Hubs are places designed to accompany and support the most fragile people in the area but at the same time generate social impact and enhance youth protagonism, their talent, their energy to build processes - and not just projects - in which well-being of communities is put at the centre.
Young people, students, aspiring entrepreneurs - aged 17 to 35 - are called to rethink a new way of doing and interpreting the development of territories, building liveliness and thought, action and regeneration. At the One Day Hackathon, which runs throughout Italy from September to November, the best ideas will be selected to access the International Proximity Project, the next supra-regional phase.
Catania, Duino and Naples, territories in which the first Proximity Hubs will be created, will act as the stage for the supra-regional competitions. Comparison and dialogue with sector professionals, study and analysis of business models but also in-depth analysis and direct experiences to understand how to transform ideas into impactful projects will be the pure fuel of the International Proximity Project.
From the best ideas, which will receive an economic and planning contribution to implement the projects presented, and thanks to synergies with local organizations, new Proximity Hubs will be born.
