On 9 April 1928 Benito Mussolini signed a decree declaring the total suppression of scouting in Italy. In Milan some young scouts decide to disobey a law that they feel is unjust and begin a long period of clandestine activity, a real youth resistance. The adventure, not without risks and lasting 17 years, will lead the group to keep the commitment of scouting alive in Italy until the Liberation and will make them become young men of peace: after 8 September 1943 they will be promoters of a group of aid for wanted Jews, political prisoners and draft dodgers, who under the name of OSCAR it will save thousands of people.
