The reading traces the history of the violence that occurred in Italy from 1919 to 1922. Written and performed by Elisabetta Vergani, accompanied by the original music of Sara Calvanelli, is promoted byFerruccio Parri National Institute in collaboration with Italian Association of Public History (AIPH) e Central Council for Historical Studies (GCSS). The Milanese event is scheduled for September 27th at 19pm in the Council Room of Palazzo Marino, seat of the Municipality of Milan.

The first post-war period in Italy was a period of great tension, which quickly and very frequently resulted in violence that was often lethal. From 1919 to 1922 the episodes followed one another in series, moving from the so-called red two-year period to a true black two-year period, the outcome of which was the march on Rome in October 1922. And yet, the interweaving of provocations and reactions was profound from first months following the end of the First World War.

The initiative is organized by City of Milan | Milan is memory, From 'Ferruccio Parri National Institute and Farneto Theatre.

Entry is free upon registration on Eventbrite (until September 24)
