The 'ViPreGo' association, created to organize cultural events and to create moments of aggregation and socialization among the inhabitants of the neighborhoods of Villa San Giovanni, Precotto and Gorla, organizes the initiatives "75 years after the Gorla massacre", together with the Culture commission of the Municipality of Milan, the House of Memory, the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Milan, the Gorla Domani association, the Active Parents association and the Precotto neighborhood committee, not to forget the Anglo- American attack on Milan on 20 October 1944 in which 641 people lost their lives.
This bombing hit various areas of the highly industrialized area, the neighborhoods of Gorla and Precotto were hit by 80 tons of explosives which, from the moment of release, took 240 seconds to hit the ground.
The inhabitants, following the alarms between 11.24 and 11.29, reached the shelters, but one of those bombs hit the stairwell of the 'Francesco Crispi' primary school in Gorla, where 184 children, 14 teachers and 4 janitors lost their lives. and 1 health assistant.
