Moments of memory: alternative to the Milan-Brescia-Bologna Relay “So as not to forget”
(Milan 12/12/1969 - Brescia 28/05/1974 - Bologna 2/08/1980)
"Moments of Memory" it is a downsizing of the historical Relay Milan-Brescia-Bologna "Not to forget" organized for decades on the occasion of the anniversary of the Bologna massacre of 2 August 1980 in which the massacres of Milan and Brescia are recalled:
- PROGRAM
1 August 2023: Milan-Paullo (first moment of memory)
Meeting at 8 am in via Palestro in Milan and departure at 30 am towards Piazza Fontana.
A commemoration with city authorities and associations is planned in Piazza Fontana at 9:00 am.
At the end, the participants will depart towards Peschiera Borromeo with an estimated arrival time of 10am. Stop for a greeting to the Authorities and departure for Pantigliate where a further short greeting stop is planned and then departure towards Paullo with arrival around 40.
In the meantime, a collateral relay from Liscate and Settala converges on Paullo to participate in the commemoration of the moment of memory... in Milan, with the presence of the administrators of the respective municipalities. Convivial refreshment.
1 August 2023: Roncadelle-Brescia (second moment of remembrance)
Meeting in Roncadelle at 16pm, at the headquarters of the Alpini, the Brescian runners and the Bolognese representative arrived by Paullo. Commemorative ceremony and departure at 15pm for Brescia, with arrival in Piazza della Loggia and commemoration at 16pm at the stele of the massacre with the Administrators, local associations and representatives of the neighboring municipalities.
**In the evening appendix: a mini relay, which will involve the runners of Castelfranco Emilia (MO) and the representative of Atletica Presezzo (BG), with destination Bosco Albergati (MO) included in the context of the initiatives of the local Festa dell'Unità in memory of the Bologna massacre.
2 August 2023: Bologna Ipercoop-Bologna Montagnola (third moment of remembrance)
Meeting at 6 am of the Bolognese representatives and departure towards the Montagnola of Bologna where there has always been a gathering of the Relays who take part in the city parade towards the Central Station square to attend the official commemoration of the Bologna massacre.
