Milan remembers Marshal Silvio Novembre

In the gardens of Piazza Grandi, near his family home, a plaque discovered today commemorates Silvio November, the Marshal of the Financial Police, who died in Milan on 28 September three years ago. Protagonist, together with the lawyer Giorgio Ambrosoli, of the investigations into the Italian Private Bank of the financier Michele Sindona, he contributed to shedding light on intricate criminal events that have profoundly marked the history of our country.

The close collaboration between Silvio Novembre and Giorgio Ambrosoli, which later turned into deep esteem and friendship, lasted until the tragic 11 July 1979, when the Milanese lawyer was barbarically murdered. Despite the tragic event, Marshal Novembre, thanks to his notable technical expertise in the economic-financial field, his total dedication to service and a very high sense of duty, contributed to unraveling a complex interweaving between politics, high finance, freemasonry and the mafia.

In 1985 he participated, together with other personalities of the city, in the birth of the Civil Society club, contributing personally to the diffusion of the values ​​of integrity and the fight against corruption in schools.

Already awarded the Gold Medal of Civic Merit of the Municipality of Milan in 2014, as "example of generous and tireless service to institutions", Silvio Novembre has dedicated his entire life to the search for truth and the safeguarding of legality.

The ceremony was attended by the mayor of the Municipality of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, the Interregional Commander of north-western Italy, Gen.
