The project Instagram History aims to bring to the digital world and social networks the memory of the lives shattered by the Nazi-Fascist deportation, in order to make the younger generations aware of what happened in Milan and throughout Europe in the second half of the 900th century.
The initiative, born in 2020 during the pandemic, sees its third edition thanks to the students of IED European Institute of Design in Milan.
Their work, the creation of Instagram Carousels dedicated to the lives of deportees, will be visible starting from January 27, 2023 on the Instagram page: milanpietredinciampo
Each of the students had to personally take care of the visual and textual drafting of the digital stumbling blocks, addressing along the way themes such as indifference, personal responsibility and the duty of Memory.
The Instagram page, without ever having benefited from sponsorships, currently has more than 7000 members, more than 90% Milanese, and was included by Repubblica as one of the 20 most influential pages in the city.
