Exercising peace – Memory and current affairs

On March 22, 2023 at the Sala Alessi of Palazzo Marino, Piazza della Scala 2, Milan, the public meeting will take place from 10 to 30 "Exercising Peace – Memory and current affairs”, organized by City of Milan, Milan is memory and Milan Interprovincial Section of the National Association of Civilian War Victims APS.

“Exercising Peace” is a series of meetings of the Interprovincial Section of Milan of the National Association of Civilian War Victims APS, to enhance the memory of civilian victims who, today, like yesterday, suffer the greatest consequences of conflicts and to solicit commitment constant and proactive in favor of non-violence and dialogue. Peace, its achievement and maintenance, is also the result of daily actions, and just like any other right it must be exercised.

The meeting on March 22nd will retrace the tragic events that hit Italy during the conflicts of the Second World War and how the city of Milan suffered such events; of how the promotion of peace within global society is possible today through the testimonies of today's civilian war victims and the children of yesterday's civilian war victims and through good practices for educating new generations in the culture of Peace.

The work will begin at 10.30 am with greetings from Gaia Romani - Councilor for civic and general services e Domenico Neri - President of ANVCG Interprovincial Section of Milan.
