Citadel of the Archiveshe dedicates a 30 square meter mural to the Partisan Resistance, with a particular homage to the women of the Resistance, to the GAP and to Niguarda, the neighborhood that hosts the buildings and which in April 1945 saw the first partisan insurrection against the fascist regime.
In fact, the faces of:
- Carla Capponi, Gappista gold medal for military valor, PCI deputy
- Onorina Brambilla Pesce known as “Nori”, decorated Gappista and then Regional Councilor
- Giovanni Pesce, gold medal for military valor, city councilor in Milan
The flag of the Patriotic Action Groups, the GAP, is the backdrop to their faces.
Next to them is depicted an imposing series of red flags which refer to the famous paintings "Festa Cinese" by Mario Schifano and "i Funerali di Togliatti" by Renato Guttuso, and beneath them a partisan barricade inspired by the photographic images and documentation preserved at the Citadel of the Archives, which has already been the subject of the exhibition "Manifesti dalla Resistenza 1945-1985", from which the work created by the Milanese artist Davide Ratti "Ratzo" of the Wolkswriter collective together with the Another Scratch in the Wall association also takes its title .
