The conference entitled "The villages of Milan: urban roots, universal culture and social integration" is organized by theAssociation ABM (Ancient Milanese Villages) with the aim of promoting the village model by enhancing its cultural, social and urban contents.

The themes that will be exposed range from the cultural excellences of the ancient villages (art, history, traditions) to the urban planning value of the village (proximity services, meeting places, identity) to arrive at the social recovery of the villages through various tools: urban planning, local press, school. Among the numerous speakers at ABM there are journalists, writers and local experts.

This conference is among those organized in collaboration with the City of Milan on the occasion of the Centenary of the annexation of the former Municipalities and the 150th anniversary of the annexation of the Municipality of Corpi Santi, as part of the schedule "From the Villages to the City, from the City to the Neighborhoods".
