The ceremony for the Day of the Righteous of Humanity 2024.
This year, the theme chosen byAssociation for the Garden of the Righteous of Milan (City of Milan, Gariwo e UCEI) And "Memory and responsibility. The example of the Righteous in the face of the challenges of our time".
On this occasion they will be honored with a plaque: Altiero Spinelli, author of the Ventotene Manifesto for a free and united Europe, Yuri Dmitriev, the Memorial historian condemned for his work on the memory of the victims of Stalinism, Vera Vigevani Jarach, memory activist and co-founder of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo movement, e Narges Mohammadic, Iranian activist who dedicated her life to the fight for human rights in the country.
After the institutional greetings of the members of the Association, they will bear their testimony Renata Colorni, for Altiero Spinelli, Marco Vigevani, for Vera Vigevani Jarach, Andrea Gullotta for Yurij Dmitriev e Taghi Rahmani, for Narges Mohammadi.
Following this, the parchments will also be delivered to the representatives of the Righteous proposed by civil society.
The morning will end with a moment of discussion and dialogue in the Garden Amphitheater with representatives of the honored Righteous.
